Twitter’s 140 Character Update is Live

The Twitter update that we’ve all been waiting for is finally here! Highly restricted tweets are now a thing of the past.

Twitter announced that the update was coming back in May, however a date for launch was never confirmed. Until now, we’ve been patiently waiting for the update to kick in and we’ve just had confirmation that all is in place! 

What’s changed? @names and attachments such as GIFs, photos, polls and videos etc. no longer count toward the 140 character limit. Alongside this, you can now retweet your own tweets with ease. Lastly, new tweets that start with a username will reach all of your followers, without having to use the period before the @ symbol.

What does all of this mean? You can create richer, more engaging conversations with your members and clients, without having to sacrifice on quality.
