Over the past quarter, we’ve introduced powerful new features across five key areas: The Member App, Reporting and Analytics, CRM tools, Operator Experience, and Payments. 

From booking improvements to sharper reporting and seamless CRM workflows, these updates are built to make your day-to-day smoother, your insights sharper, and your member experience even better. Whether you’re handling the front desk or mapping out your next stage of growth, these features give you more control, clarity, and confidence. 

Let’s take a closer look at what’s new. 

1. Member App 

Restricted Editing of Personal Info 

This is an optional feature which allows users to restrict members from editing their personal information, stopping them from sharing accounts with other people or trying to get around restrictions.  

Improved Security: Stop people from stealing inactive accounts for their own use. 

Reduce Account Sharing: Make it harder for clients to share accounts by changing the account name and/or photo​


Updated Cancellation Flow 

This update introduces a simple cancellation request flow in the member app and web portal, giving members a clear and intuitive path to cancel their memberships and addons – no calls, no emails required. ​ 

Compliance with Consumer Protection Regulations: We made these changes to help you comply with consumer protection regulations in your region, such as the now defunct FTC Click-to-Cancel legislation. 

Better Member Experience: Members will now have a more streamlined and stress-free cancellation flow.  ​ 


2. Reporting and Analytics 

Access By Day Report – Automatic Refresh 

It’s now easier than ever for staff to monitor who’s entering the facility, improving front desk operations and enhancing security oversight. This update is especially valuable for customers who display the report on a TV or screen at reception, offering an almost real-time view of access activity without requiring manual interaction. ​ 

Hands-Free Monitoring: Know in real time which members enter the gym without any manual interaction. ​ 

Efficient Operations: Less time spent monitoring, more time for other tasks and responsibilities.  ​ 


Future Start Dates by Members 

Previously, members would have to start their memberships on the purchase date, which sometimes led to missed sales due to inconvenient timing. Now, members can set a future start date, allowing them to make the most of their memberships.​ 

Maximized Memberships: Allow your members to get the most out of their memberships with start date selection. ​​ 

Better Member Experience: Allow members to select their start date with the self-serve membership purchasing flow.  


Net Member Movement 

This is a new tab to the Members report, showing starting and ending member counts, plus new and lost members for any selected period. A visual chart helps you track trends over time and compare them to previous periods.  

Better Decisions: Enable customers to gain deeper insight into key metrics.​ 

Deeper Insights: Easily see growth or decline in member numbers.​ 

Enhanced User Experience: View member activity across any period of time in one simple report. ​ 


3. Top CRM Innovations

New Filter For Custom Audiences 

Users can now segment their members or leads by the user creation date. ​ 

For example, users can now segment: ​ 

  • Leads who signed up in the last week​ 
  • Active members who signed up in the last month​ 
  • Expired members who signed up in the last year​ 

Optimized Segmentation: Clear, targetable leads or members through the XLerate CRM 

Fewer Miscommunications: Users are now far less likely to be mistargeted with communications.


Preview Emails

You can now view emails in a “preview” tab before sending, allowing you to ensure content is being displayed as expected for the end recipient of 1:1 emails, campaigns, or automated workflows​. You can now also share test emails with non-Glofox users for feedback and approvals .  

Improved User Experience: You can now ensure you’re providing the best possible communications to members and leads before sending.


1:1 Emails on Customer Profile 

From the member profile, users can now easily send a one-off email to the desired member. ​ 

Personal check-ins: Increase the likelihood of a lead converting or keep existing clients engaged​ 

Improved consistency: Better aligns capabilities across channels, matching 1:1 SMS & push notifications   ​ 


Social Media Merge Tags 

This update allows you to easily add social media merge tags to your comms, saving you time and effort with each message.  

Reduce manual work: Automatically populate unique social links for each location​​ 

Improve brand consistency: Encourage locations to share social links in a consistent way across messages and templates​ 


4. Operator Experience

Recurring Bookings: Improved Booking and UI 

Recurring bookings can now be made up to 2 years in advance. Additionally, the calendar booking UI has been improved for a better member experience. ​ 

Improved Member Experience: Members can now easily book classes further into the future.​ 

Better Booking Visualization: Owners now have a clear view of bookings up to two years in advance.  


Restricted Membership Renewal Improvements 

This update reduces the need for manual credit adjustments by location staff, improving visibility into how credits are granted and edited, and significantly cuts down the number of customer-impacting incidents related to restricted renewals. 

Reduced Admin Time: ​Automatically reassign credits associated with a membership when a payment is written off.​ 

Improved Customer Experience: Reduces the number of customer-impacting incidents related to restricted renewals. ​


Updated Next Payment Date (Restricted Memberships) 

This update lets you adjust next payment dates for Restricted Memberships, bringing greater flexibility and closer parity with Unlimited plans. ​ 

Improved User Experience: Easily update next payment date for all membership types. 

Streamlined Member Management: Faster, easier updates and workflows. ​ 

Door Access Details 

Customers can now track and identify which members are accessing which areas through the “Door” column in the “Access by Day” tab in the Glofox dashboard. This allows users to clearly identify common footfall trends and discover faults or issues with specific access points of their facilities.  ​ 

Improved Access Visibility: Identify and resolve client access issues more easily.  ​ 

Understand Member Behavior: Gain better insights into customer footfall for improved operations. ​ 


Consumer Protections Update 

While the situation surrounding the FTC’s Click to Cancel regulations continues to evolve, we made the following updates to help you adhere to these or other local consumer protection regulations.  

Clear auto-renewal details: Members see if a plan is open-ended, a contract, or auto-renews.​ 

Scroll-to-accept T&Cs: Members must review and accept T&Cs before adding payment. Also available via API endpoint.​ 

Auto-renewal opt-in: Recurring billing requires explicit consent before checkout. Also available via API endpoint.​ 

Double consent at checkout: Both consents are shown again for visibility and tracking.​ 

Cancel request flow: Members can request cancellation directly in-platform. 


5. Payments

Updated Transaction Report 

This update brings a more consistent, reliable, and efficient reporting experience across the board, including:​ 

  • Faster access to insights with new filters and search tools​ 
  • Greater flexibility with the ability to download in Excel​ 
  • Customisable views for a more tailored reporting experience​ 
  • More modern, responsive design for ease of use​ 

Improved Workflow: Easier to see transactions and create downloadable reports. ​ 

Tailored User Experience: Customizable views and new design improves user experience.


Transaction Summary Report 

We have also introduced a new Transaction Summary Report, this is a new summary tab that allows you to: ​ 

  • Reconcile cash, card, and account balance top-ups quickly and accurately. ​ 
  • Verify non-sales transactions, such as account balance top-ups, which aren’t visible in the standard Sales report. ​ 
  • Gain better financial transparency across locations.​ 

Intuitive Tracking: Gain clear insights into payment types and daily transaction amounts.  ​ 

Process Optimization: Save time and improve accuracy with up-to-date transactions.
