About Live Fit

11 years ago Jack Cardy began his career in the fitness industry as a personal trainer. Having garnered great success in creating a committed group of clients, the natural progression for Jack was to launch a personal training management company where he managed trainers and clients. Having always had the ultimate aim of owning a gym, an opportunity arose when a space became available which Jack and his wife bought. The space was run down and needed a lot of work, but Jack saw it as an exciting option whereby he could use his expertise in social media and marketing to strive for growth.

Having opened in July 2019, Jack has already grown his member base to an impressive five hundred members and loves the challenge of building and growing a business. Jack currently co-runs a content creation business called Media Bros and has utilized his expertise in content marketing along with his passion for people and love for branding to create the successful and scalable business that Live Fit has become.

The Challenge? Finding a Software System to Help in Building a Brand

Jack had always had a clear vision of what he wanted to accomplish with Live Fit, which was to create a community-style gym supported by a strong brand and reputation.

“From the offset, we wanted community to be at the helm. For us, we knew we didn’t want to have the bix box gym where you had hundreds of members but there was a distinct lack of personalization and authenticity. We wanted to create a sense of togetherness, and Glofox helped us to do that.”

With strong branding top of mind for Jack, the carefully crafted Live Fit brand was amplified through the Glofox custom member app.

“The member app is great. It keeps our members booking and engaged, and it looks really slick too. We’ve started sharing our news stories in the Community section and our members love it!”

For the Live Fit team, the Glofox Pro app has been a real asset. With multiple classes, memberships, and challenges all running at once it can be a challenge for the trainers to manage all elements of their day. Trainers can now keep on top of their admin and check-in clients, record their progress, amend schedules and track leads. It has also helped Jack and his team to guarantee engagement with his members, in turn making sure that Live Fit members are long-term members.

“Having the trainers on the app is really important for us as they can keep on top of their day too. For me, it’s useful too as it helps me keep track of what’s going on at the studio without having to be there. I look at class numbers, attendance, and conversion rates every day so I can make sure that no one is slipping through the net ”

What’s Next for Live Fit?

With the success of Live Fit to date, and having built up a base of over 500 members in just 9 months, Jack plans to continue to enhance his studio’s offering. Although the current situation has meant that progress has been slowed down, there are definite plans to open up a second studio where Jack and his team plan to grow the Live Fit community and take on new members.

“My plans for the near future was a second site, I think due to the current situation we have been pushed back a year but we aren’t too far away. Overall we want to continue to improve our offering as much as possible and create lots of value for our clients.”
